Why use it

For editors who make custom captions for clients. Manual captions look premium but take time; auto captions are fast but all look the same. TypeShift keeps the look and the speed.

  • Without it

Keyframing every caption by hand, for every client.

    With TypeShift

Type the words and every letter animates on its own.

  • Without it

Auto captions that look like everyone else’s.

    With TypeShift

Your fonts, boxes and highlighted words, styled like manual captions.

    With TypeShift

Trim the clip and the animation re-times itself.

See it: trim it, it re-times

Type it. It moves.

Type your text and the letters animate in and out on their own. Change the words and the animation follows: no keyframes to move, no Fusion page.

The usual way

Keyframes for every letter, on the Fusion page.

With TypeShift

One title on the Edit page. Type, pick a Look, done.

What it does

One engine times every letter

Choose what moves (letters, words or lines), the order, the direction and the easing, and mix in scale, position, tracking, rotation, fade, blur, flicker, erode and color. TypeShift times every letter in and out for you. Nothing to keyframe.

Browser preview of the engine’s timing. Change a setting and the whole title re-times.

Easing

Highlight a word with asterisks

Wrap any word in asterisks. Give it its own color, font and size, plus a box or underline that measures the word and sweeps in on its own.

Loops while it’s on screen

Drift, jitter, flicker, rainbow, font shuffle and a typing cursor, on every word or only the highlighted ones.

Boxes behind the text

Around everything, per line, per word or per letter, with clip-to-box reveals. Plus outline, glow, drop and layered shadows, and character styles.

Drag to trim. The entrance and exit stay at the ends of the clip.

Trim it, it re-times

The animation follows the clip. Trim it and the entrance and exit re-time themselves.

16:9, up to 4K

9:16 vertical

Any frame, and Nepali too

Any frame size, from 16:9 and 4K to 9:16 vertical. Nepali (Devanagari) text animates letter by letter too.

  • Plays smoothly

One engine draws every letter, and a Playback meter tells you how heavy your settings are.

  • Start anywhere

From a blank title, a one-click motion or a preset. Every setting stays editable.

  • Save your own

Save your designs as presets and share them.

When you’d use it

Whenever the captions should look premium and the deadline is close. Below, captions from my launch video, made with TypeShift.

  • Client videos
  • Talking heads and reels
  • 9:16 social cuts
  • Nepali captions
  • Ajay with handwritten captions beside him: maile haina, hijo varkhar, euta plugin, launch garey

What’s new
v1.1, .New Layout: Path. Draw a line in the viewer through 2 to 8 points and the text follows it. Choose Smooth, Corners or Pen. Pen gives every point two handles to shape the curve.Show Line draws the path under your text. It draws on as the letters arrive and erases as they leave. Pick its color, width, and Solid or Dashed.Show Handles makes the Pen handles big and easy to grab while you design. Switch it off before you export.Rotation for Character Styles (tilt a word, or each letter) and for highlighted words. The User Guide covers everything new. Titles made with v1.0 keep working.

Questions

Why not auto captions?
They’re fast, but they can’t be styled like manual ones. TypeShift keeps the manual look and the speed.
Can’t I keyframe it in Fusion?
You can, every time. TypeShift is for when you’d be doing it for every client.
How do I get my plugin after paying?

As soon as your payment is confirmed, the thank-you page shows a Download button, and we email you the same link. Collected Looks also shows its license key there and in the email.

Do I need an account?

No. Checkout asks for your email, and your purchase is tied to it. To download again later, open My plugins, enter that email and use the sign-in link we send you.

Do I get a license key?

Collected Looks comes with a license key for 2 computers. TypeShift, CRT Emulation and Halftone need no key: install and use them.

Why is it cheaper in Nepal?

I grew up in Nepal and I want editors there to be able to afford these tools. So people living in Nepal pay a local price in rupees through eSewa. Everyone else pays in US dollars. If you’re abroad and love the work, paying the dollar price helps me keep making it.
